I have recently completed a BSc Occupational Therapy, achieving first class honours in July 2015 and I am now continuing to develop clinical skills and knowledge within permanent practice as a community Occupational Therapist working for DCHS NHS Trust. I am a highly effective autonomous practitioner who can work independently while valuing continued personal and professional development. I have a diverse academic, work and life history giving me an extensive set of skills, knowledge and theoretical foundations to be embraced, reflected on and applied to my future practice. I have a strong belief in the power of occupation to change lives and bring an occupation focused, person-centred perspective when striving to achieve optimal health, well-being and independence to each and every unique individual. I have a strong desire to positively influence, support and guide individuals and whole communities towards meaningful goal achievement and a strengthened sense of self and will strive to positively represent myself, the company I work for and the occupational therapy profession.
