If you have any questions about this, please call our office. Gabriel Okpagu (pronounced “Gay bree el / Ok pa gu”), MD, has been caring for the health and wellbeing of patients since 2017. He has a clinical interest in primary care, preventive care and chronic disease management for diabetes and high blood pressure.Dr. Okpagu earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry. He earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua in the Caribbean. He completed a family medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI, where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Okpagu has previous experience as a medical director for an urgent care facility and lead physician at a primary care facility. He also earned an MBA with a focus on healthcare management from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH. Dr. Okpagu is certified by and a member of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). He is also a member of the American Association of Family Physicians (AAFP).When he isn’t with patients or family, Dr. Okpagu enjoys outdoor activities, reading and playing video games. He also founded a non-profit organization to impact the lives of children in Africa. Besides English, he is fluent in Igbo.
