Evette Kingcaid, MD, FAAFP, earned her medical degree at the University of Wisconsin in 1998, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in 1993. She continued there to complete her residency in 2001. She worked at Kelsey-Seybold from 2010 to 2021, including as the designated physician for Shell Oil's executive health program. Dr. Kingcaid returned to Kelsey-Seybold in June 2024. Dr. Kingcaid’s passion for science and helping people feel better led her into the medical field. As a Family Medicine physician, she helps patients of all ages with preventive medicine, weight management, women's health, and the management of chronic health conditions such as chronic heart failure, high blood pressure, diabetes, and asthma. She also helps patients with procedures such as IUD placement, joint injections (limited to shoulders and knees), skin tag removal, toenail removal, and minor abscess management. In her daily practice, Dr. Kingcaid approaches patient care with empathy and a focus on problem solving. Dr. Kingcaid enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially over a meal. She loves traveling and experiencing different cultures and foods. She also likes to take walks in nature in her free time, finding the experience rejuvenating. Dr. Kingcaid is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, The Obesity Society, and the Houston Medical Forum.
