My name is Gabriel Arroyo and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My desire to become a therapist began when I was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at the age of 10 and was faced with learning how to cope with this significant change in my life. This experience allowed me to learn coping skills and strategies to overcome struggles that we experience in life and provided me with a passion to provide that same knowledge to others. As a Therapist, my approach is free formed in order to build a respectable comfort between us to work as a team on goals with your existing strengths and skills.I have 10 years of experience working with children and families with various challenges. My specialty is working with children and families with chronic illness and the challenges associated. My approach is to work in a collaborative relationship to build on the strengths that naturally exist and within these strengths we learn additional coping skills.I have worked with a diverse population of children and families focusing treatment on challenges of depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and chronic illness. As a Therapist I like to make my clients feel supported and comfortable to work on anything needed in an efficient manner. With this, I also provide Telehealth services for ease of access to treatment.
