There are many reasons people come to therapy. We all have an innate need to belong, be supported, and understood. I place a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and provide a safe space for clients to move forward. This emotional space for clients allows them to examine their personal experiences in a confidential and nurturing environment. While building a unique relationship clients can explore their personal feelings and emotions, habits, insecurities, beliefs and perceptions with curiosity rather than judgment and ultimately become the best version of themselves.Although I am trained in EMDR and use mindfulness in my counseling practice, I am grounded in attachment and person-centered therapy. For the past several years I have worked with adults who are exploring becoming secure attachment figures for those around them. I have also worked with young adults overcoming severe traumas, addictions, and grief/loss.I have experience working with individuals impacted by attachment, trauma, relationship issues, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, self-worth, and grief/loss. It is incredibly difficult to be vulnerable when we are expected to be so many other things. I encourage you to be your own advocate for change with a guiding hand.
