I have worked in both NHS and local authority settings professionally since 2014. Amongst this, I have completed private Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions in the Housing and Equipment sector. Having previously worked in orthopaedics, elderly care, dementia, rehabilitation, community and intermediate care, I have experience in equipment provision, specialist equipment such as bathlifts and stairlifts and minor and major adaptations to the home. My career interest is supporting those with long term conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome/ME and long covid. I'm also interested in working with clients who experience pain and fatigue. I also value the importance of independence and recovery from short-term implications such as post-partum and post-op. Whatever the disability/implication/hinderance, whether short-term or long-term, my passion is to support people to remain safe and independent within their own homes, to complete daily tasks which are important to them to maintain and promote quality of life and wellbeing.
