Clinical interests: Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Musculoskeletal problems Scleroderma Juvenile systemic lupus erythematosus Juvenile vasculitis Joint care of uveitis in childhood requiring systemic immunosuppressive treatments I am the vice chair and future chair of trustees for Claire House Children’s Hospice. I am a member of the Lindow Singers. I am on the advisory board of a charity providing medical clinic to the Maasai in Kenya.

I have been involved in many trials of new drugs in the treatment of rheumatological diseases such as juvenile idiopathic arthritis ( JIA) and systemic lupus. I am on the oversight committee for the 2 biologic registries in JIA. I am also a member of the Experimental Arthritis Treatment Centre at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and have an interest in how stem cells work in JIA.
