Dr. Dina Began, a board certified Dermatologist and Internist, provides her patients with a tailored comprehensive approach to skin care. Dr. Began currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Began has also served as Assistant Professor of Dermatology of the faculties of the Weill Medical College of Cornell University and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed an accelerated B.S./M.D. program graduating cum laude with her bachelor’s degree in biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and her medical degree from Albany Medical College. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Albany Medical College and Montefiore Medical Center and her advanced dermatology training at the Indiana University School of Medicine where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Began has served as a member of the Executive Board of the New York University Medical Center. She was the recipient of the Irwin Lubowe Fellowship for outstanding academic scholarship and the NYU Full Time Dermatology Faculty of the Year Award in 2001. In 2014, Dr. Began was awarded with the Special Recognition Award from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Unified Division of Dermatology for outstanding mentorship of dermatology residents, medical students and colleagues. Dr. Began has extensive experience in the academic, medical, surgical and cosmetic practice setting. She has a special interest in Acne, Acne injections, Anti-aging treatments, Cosmetic Dermatology and Cosmetic Procedures, Contact Dermatitis, Eczema, Hair Loss, Herpes, Psoriasis, Rashes, Rosacea, Scars, Skin Cancer Screenings, Prevention, Treatments and Warts.
