Denyse is a self motivated and committed occupational therapist, with extensive experience working with clients with acquired brain injury (ABI). She has excellent problem solving, communication, organisational and time management skills, with experience of working in hospital and community settings in both state and independent sectors. She believes in using a proactive approach to find innovative solutions for her clients. She also has experience of recruiting, training & managing support staff and a proven ability to work under pressure. Denyse is used to working individually and as a member of a team, depending on the needs of the client. Denyse started her carerer in Southampton General Hospital where she completed rotational posts to gain experience. She went on to work as lead OT on the in-patient neurological rehabilitation unit there. She is now based in Cardiff and in 2001, at its inception, she started working for the Community Brain Injury Team in Cardiff, where she worked part time until 2011. In 2005, Denyse started working with her own independent OT practice, which has grown. In 2011, she left her part time NHS post to work independently on a full time basis. Denyse also works as a case manager with Westcountry Case Management, specialising in adult clients with ABI. HCPC registered. Denyse is a member of the following organisations: COTSS-IP & Headway. She has also achieved advanced member status with BABICM.
