I enjoy working with individuals who are eager to find new ways to meet challenges more effectively, particularly life transitions, healing from trauma, and recovery from anxiety, insomnia, and stress. Treatment is often short-term, focused on a few central goals, and aimed at increasing both individual well-being and interpersonal effectiveness. Often the work involves cultivation of mindful awareness, compassion, non-judgment, and kindness. In a collaborative, respective process, we learn when change-oriented skill-building is needed and when acceptance-oriented skill-building is called for to enhance the client's well-being.
