With more than 30 years of experience in - aviation integration - wildfire strategy - aviation, emergency services - training - emergency planning - wildfire chemical consultation both nationally and internationally, I possess a wealth of knowledge and qualifications in the wildfire arena. I am the President and Founder of the International Wildfire Consulting Group (IWCG). Our company provides consulting services and training to governments, community organizations, NGOs, corporations, and other private sector entities. We specialize in wildfire prevention, suppression, and risk mitigation strategies. Before starting IWCG in 2020 - I served as the President of Global SuperTanker Services, LLC, Here, I developed and executed a strategic plan that enabled the world's largest aerial firefighting platform to carry out highly successful missions in the United States and South America, including during the Amazon rainforest wildfire crisis. I have served in multiple leadership roles at CAL FIRE, including Division and Deputy Chief. I specialized in fire aviation and wildland fire chemicals and played a crucial role in developing and managing the Tactical Air Operations Unit. Additionally, I was a primary architect for California’s Catastrophic Aviation Response Plan. I’ve developed extensive connections throughout the world, which allows me to identify potential wildfire technologies and create synergies by connecting individuals and teams. I am a published author on wildfire and aviation asset use. I am a founding charter member of the United Aerial Firefighters Association. My mission now is to: + leverage my extensive knowledge and experience in wildfire policy, contracting, wildfire chemicals, aerial firefighting fleet development and modernization + leverage new technologies to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of wildfire/emergency management. + assist clients in addressing the core causes and consequences of the wildfire threat. + strike a balance between fire prevention efforts and fire suppression capabilities. + develop a company that has a diverse capacity for global wildfire response. Most importantly, I am passionate about supporting boots-on-the-ground firefighters and the communities they protect. I believe aircraft and new-generation fire equipment & chemicals are vital to controlling and containing fires before they explode into massive disasters.
