Currently working in Pulmonary Rehabilition supporting individuals and groups of people living with Chronic Lung conditions to continue doing the things they need and want to do. This may be through supporting development of self-management skills around fatigue or anxiety management or could be about equipment provision to make everyday tasks safer and more comfortable. Prior to my move to the NHS I spent 8 years working in the Third Sector finishing as Lead Practitioner for Veterans Support at Thistle Foundation. My responsibilities included facilitating Lifestyle Management Courses, 1-to-1 wellbeing coaching, supporting our peer volunteers and supervising two of our practitioners. I am also passionate about supporting future health care professionals. I have delivered a small number of visiting lecturing sessions at Queen Margaret University and have also hosted an Undergraduate OT Placement at Thistle.
