Chioma (Chee-o-ma) Moronu is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas and Colorado. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. Chioma's approach is to help you find your happiness and regain control of your life. Coming from a diverse background (Mother Malaysian, Father Nigerian), she has experienced some of the challenges faced by biracial and multicultural individuals. Overcoming these challenges has made Chioma an advocate for those that are struggling with their identity due to their biracial or multicultural background. She has a passion for helping others rediscover their voice and learn how to advocate for themselves and who they are. Chioma has worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, racial trauma, especially those that come from a biracial or multicultural background. She utilizes a holistic, and integrative approach when working with clients by using multiple modalities including cognitive behavioral, trauma-informed, and strengths-based interventions. Chioma believe that the most important part of the therapeutic process is the therapeutic relationship. She aims to help you down your journey and help you reconnect to your mind, body, and soul.
