Currently working as an Occupational Therapist following graduating in 2019. Throughout my journey in training at university and within employment I have learnt and developed a vast amount of skills, that are transferable throughout many industries. I have worked within the healthcare industry for 6 years, including the care industry whilst studying and 3 years as an occupational therapist. During my current role as an OT I have developed a passion for coding. I am currently learning different coding languages such as HTML, CSS and Python through courses on web development and fundamentals of python with @codeacademy and @codefirstgirls. I am also using @codeacademy to complete a Computer science career path which explores; Programming, Algorithms , Data structures and Databases such as SQL. I have vast amounts of knowledge on computer systems, processors and application software through years of experience in working with the healthcare information technology systems and Microsoft applications. Whilst completing these courses I am building the skills, experience and knowledge I need to be able to understand computer programming. I am beginning to build a portfolio of coding projects I am working on and certifications of course completion with a view to apply for roles such as; data analyst, IT service support , junior software developer.
