I am a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in housing adaptations, manual handling and equipment provision. I qualified in 2002 at the University Of Wales College Of Medicine before working in the NHS. Since 2008 I have worked with adults in the community with a focus on adaptations to the home, provision of specialist equipment and assessment of manual handling for individuals, their families and their carers. I have previously set up a new housing post within the local council and ensured up to date practice in relevant post graduate training. I currently work as a senior Occupational Therapist within Social Services, contributing to supervision of other staff, prioritisation of referrals and offering suggestions for improved ways of working within the team. I also work as an independent Case Manager and Occupational Therapist. As a Case Manager and therapist I strive to work closely with clients to ensure the best outcomes possible. I enjoy working with clients from the initial assessment, to identifying goals and recommendations, through to implementing the agreed plan and ensuring needs are met to everyone’s satisfaction. I take pride in providing a thorough and holistic service to the people I work with and aim to enable individuals as much as possible.
