At times, everyone feels overwhelmed. School, friends, family, work, activities. While you've been working hard because it's what you've been told to do, overachieving and people-pleasing are not sustainable. Stress and burnout take over, and you find yourself irritable, tearful, anxious, and depressed. Soon, responsibilities and relationships start to be pushed aside, and it's challenging to tend to your own emotional and physical health. As a clinician at Patch Counseling, I aim to empower teens and adults by providing a non-judgmental, collaborative place to reestablish your voice, regain balance and rebuild self-acceptance.With specialized training in art therapy, I believe art has the power to transcend spoken language, providing deeper opportunity for expression, healing and transformation. With additional training in EMDR and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), my approach to trauma-informed care is driven by the values of compassion, collaboration and creativity.I trust each person is their own expert into themselves. Sometimes we just need help breaking down barriers blocking us from fully seeing and knowing ourselves. I'm here to collaborate with you in identifying what you'd like to get out of therapy.
