Mr. Aziz Gulamhusein is an experienced consultant urological and robotic surgeon, based at the world-renowned Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester.He has a special interest in complex open and minimally invasive abdominal surgery.Mr. Gulamhusein regularly treats patients with urological cancers, including kidney cancer, testicular cancer, retroperitoneal sarcoma, and prostate cancer. He also sees patients with common urological complaints, including blood in urine, urinary symptoms, benign prostatic enlargement, raised PSA levels, and penile and scrotal problems.Mr Gulamhusein trained at Sheffield Medical School before pursuing specialist urological training. Additionally, he was the first doctor to complete the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons robotic kidney cancer surgery fellowship at the Royal Free Hospital in London, the highest volume kidney surgery centre in both the UK and Europe with over 400 cases per year. Part of his training also included a clinical visit to an ERUS robotic surgery centre in Aalborg, Denmark supported by the Royal College of Surgeons.Mr Gulamhusein currently holds an honorary consultant contract at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London where he is actively involved with the testicular/kidney cancer team. His research interests are focused on urological cancers, robotic surgery and novel technology for enhanced recovery after surgery.
