I am a MBACP (Accred) Counsellor working from the Banbury Therapy Centre. I can offer you a safe place where you can say the unsaid, explore difficult feelings, complex situations and relationships. I am available on Friday Mornings and Friday evenings in Banbury. I work short and long term with clients, usually meeting on a weekly or fortnightly basis. You maybe nervous to begin counselling or unsure of what it may be like, so our first session is to get to know each other, and I can answer any questions you have about the counselling process itself. You can then decide if you want to meet again and we can begin to explore what is troubling you. My clients often say they feel lighter when they have felt safe enough to open up and share the weight of their fears, worries and feelings with me rather than struggling alone. I can help you to see who you are, your strengths and defences. Through a developing trusting relationship, I can share insight into how you see yourself, how I see you and how others may perceive you. Together we can look at who and where you are and opportunity for change. We can explore your past and present experience of the world, looking at repeating and unhelpful patterns of behaviour. I work in Private Practice and have volunteered for a Bereavement Service, offering counselling support for those who have experienced the death of someone close, often in complex and traumatic circumstances.
