Dr Anjali Mahto is a UK-based consultant dermatologist and author of bestselling book, The Skincare Bible, published by Penguin and now translated into over ten languages. Her areas of specialisation include traditional medical dermatology, beauty, and cosmetic medicine. As a special interest, Dr Mahtos focuses on acne and scarring, rosacea, moles, and anti-ageing therapies including injectable and laser treatments. Dr Mahto has been trained in South Wales, where she also acquired an additional degree in Pharmacology alongside Medicine. Thereafter she pursued her higher specialist training in dermatology. Dr Mahto has a rich experience of working in prestigious teaching hospitals of the UK, such as Imperial College Healthcare and the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead. She is a proactive medical educator who has given comprehensive presentations on national as well as global platforms. Her published works include original reports in the scientific literature as well as freelance journalism work in popular media. Alongside this, she has a Diploma in Nutritional Science and is a qualified yoga teacher. Previously, Dr Mahto was appointed the substantive consultant dermatologist in North West London Hospitals NHS Trust where she also headed the paediatric dermatology services. Dr Mahto is known for her friendly and approachable manner. She is a media spokesperson for the British Skin Foundation, the UKs largest skin charity. She is often in popular press and media and uses her Instagram platform to educate about skin.
