My background is predominantly working within the Special Educational Needs (SEN) community in various roles inclusive of care assistant, personal assistant, youth work team leader, further education tutor and complex care package team leader. Over the years I have developed a well rounded skill base which has made me a proficient team player skilled in developing, promoting and implementing support plans to improve the skills and abilities of individuals to enhance their lives at home, school or workplace. I am a compassionate individual with strong planning, problem-solving and effective communication and relationship-building skills. I elected to retrain in Occupational Therapy as I am a practical person. I enjoy building a rapport with individuals, working together to identify barriers effecting their activities of daily living and cultivating an appropriate action plan to enable them to live their life to the best of their abilities.
