About Amita SehgalAmita Sehgal is a consultant couple psychoanalytic psychotherapist at The Balint Consultancy, a visiting lecturer at Tavistock Relationships, and a collaborative practitioner registered with Resolution. She has a special interest in the neurobiology of contemporary attachment perspectives in couple psychotherapy. Her on-going interest in the psychological process of separation and divorce informs her commitment to resolving family disputes out of court, in a non-confrontational and constructive manner. She also consults to family lawyers, providing them with education, training and bespoke services to maintain and optimize their performance and wellbeing, and also enhance lawyer-client relationships.Amita has published widely in the field of couple psychotherapy, including an edited book Sadism: Developmental Psychoanalytic Perspectives published by Routledge: Karnac. She regularly delivers lectures and training workshops both nationally and internationally.
