Dr Alistair Ring is a Consultant in Medical Oncology at The Royal Marsden Hospital. He undertook his pre-clinical training at the University of Cambridge and clinical training at the University of Oxford, qualifying in 1997. His oncology training was based at The Royal Marsden, St George’s and Guy’s Hospitals, London. He gained his MD research degree in 2005 from The Institute of Cancer Research at the University of London. In 2008 he was appointed as Senior Lecturer in Oncology at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, where he held various roles including Director of the Brighton NIHR Clinical Research Facility. In 2014 he was appointed Consultant in Medical Oncology at The Royal Marsden, where he is the Chair of the Committee for Clinical Research. In 2018 he was appointed Honorary Reader in Breast Cancer Clinical Trials at the Institute of Cancer Research.
