I have a specialist interest in brain injury-related fatigue management, vocational rehabilitation and cognitive behavioural rehabilitation. I have extensive experience in providing community-based rehabilitation to young adults and adults of working age with complex cognitive and behavioural difficulties following an acquired brain injury. I worked for the NHS for nearly 10 years and my most recent role was as a Specialist Occupational Therapist at the Lishman unit. This unit is part of South London and the Maudsley mental health trust and specialises in treating individuals with cognitive, behavioural and psychological changes following brain injury. My current role is as an Independent Occupational Therapist based in the community. I work predominantly with clients who are going through a litigation process and have extensive experience working with case managers and other legal professionals, as well as other clinical multidisciplinary professionals, such as Neuropsychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and Physiotherapists. Often, I will work with clients for a number of years whilst their case proceeds. As part of my role, in addition to offering treatment, I have expertise in providing detailed assessment and progress reports, working within a specialist rehabilitation team, and working with clients' families or carers/support workers to help create a supportive and empowering support system. Key clinical specialisms and interests: • Functional assessment and rehabilitation following brain injury • Interdisciplinary working • Persisting changes to mental health after brain injury. • Fatigue assessment and management • Vocational rehabilitation following brain injury • Perceptual assessment and visual rehabilitation following brain injury
