Having had therapy myself I am aware of how freeing it can be to understand yourself at a deeper level, to be curious about what beliefs we carry and how they may dictate the way we navigate the world. Having someone who is trained and able to guide, challenge and support you while doing this work can make it less daunting and even enjoyable. Unprocessed trauma can dominate how we feel, think and behave. It can impact how we connect to others and to ourselves. I have learned and experienced that the processing of old wounds and trauma is one of the most important things we can do to take care of ourselves and the people around us. As well as supporting you to process trauma safely, I want you to feel you have tools you can use outside of your sessions. Learning about how our bodies respond to stress, what triggers us and what we need in those moments to regulate ourselves again can be incredibly grounding, soothing and necessary to live in the world we are in.
