Professional Development Since qualifying in 1969 I have been committed to not only extending my own clinical knowledge but helping to contribute to post-graduate training and reflection within the profession, both nationally and internationally. During the time when I had three young children, I studied and gained membership in 1978 of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. During my time as Chairman of this leading post-graduate educational association I encouraged to furtherance of international co-operation for educational exchange and clinical development. I oversaw the launch of the first European Masters Degree course in spinal and peripheral manipulation studies; represented my profession on the European educational committee of the International Federation of Manual Therapists and lectured at post-graduate level, both nationally and internally.
