Yvette Laclaustra, MD, FACS, is a leading general surgeon currently serving patients at 21st Century Oncology/Florida Breast Care in Wellington, Florida. Furthermore, she can be found on staff at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida, and St. Marys Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. Throughout her thirty-two years of practice, she has accrued extensive expertise in breast surgery, trauma surgery, critical care surgery, thoracic surgery, and general surgery. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Cum Laude in 1977 at the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, Dr. Laclaustra completed her medical degree in 1987 at Universidad Central del Caribe in Cayey, Puerto Rico, followed by her five-year general surgery residency at Nassau University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident in the department of surgery from 1985 to 1986. Dr. Laclaustra is board-certified in general surgery with the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Additionally, in order to stay up to date on all medical advancements in her field, she maintains a professional membership with the Association of Women Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
