I have grown up and studied in the UK, where I completed my A-levels at The Sixth Form College Farnborough before going to study MSci Data Science at The University of Warwick in 2020. I am now in my final year of this degree, where I have equipped myself with immense knowledge of data analytics, machine learning and statistical modelling. Beyond my academics I have engaged in various activities and societies throughout my time at Warwick; these include being President and secretary of Warwick University Canoe Polo Club, Student Blogger, Ambassador and Mentor for the Statistics Department, and a member of Warwick Canoe Club. My proudest achievement in my degree so far has been my third-year project titled "Psychological Impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic", supervised by Dr Martine Barons. In this project, I analysed some mental health data of UK university students and the population of Australia to understand if mental health worsened after the COVID-19 pandemic and understand which demographic groups were most likely to have their mental health affected by changes created by the pandemic. This required me to use all the skills I had learned throughout my degree to complete each part of a large-scale data analysis project, from the data wrangling, all the way up to presenting the results clearly and succinctly. In the future, I see myself working in data science/machine learning or a similar field using the specialist skills I have learnt from my degree. I am also an avid traveller and TEFL teacher, which has led me to spend my two previous summers abroad, in Thailand and Germany to teach English to children. Further, I am also big on sports, playing football and badminton in my free time (outside of canoe and canoe polo) along with music; I have played the drums for over ten years, which included performing various gigs in my hometown in a band.
