Dr Veronique Bataille is a Consultant Dermatologist with special interests in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer based in London. She currently sees patients at the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust and private patients at The Princess Grace Hospital. Dr Bataille is also the Consultant Dermatologist for LOréal Paris and is a Senior Lecturer & Honorary Consultant Dermatologist at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr Bataille graduated with her medical degree from the Louvain Medical School, Brussels in Belgium in 1985. She completed her specialist training in several teaching hospitals across London, as well as spending several months in the Sydney Melanoma Unit in Australia. She became an accredited consultant dermatologist in 1996 and was registered as a specialist in dermatology by the General Medical Council (UK) in 2004. Dr Bataille has a strong passion for research, completing her PhD in 1995. She has also set up several projects at St Thomas Hospital in the Twin Research Unit, has published her work in many genetic, cancer and dermatology journals and has presented her work at both national and international meetings. Dr Bataille is the Assistant Editor for the Clinical and Dermatology Journal. In her current clinical practice, Dr Bataille sees patients with general skin conditions as well as melanoma, familial melanoma, family cancer syndromes and atypical naevi. She offers a range of treatments including the following: Botox injections for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) Mole checks, mapping and removal Skin lesion removal Curettage Cryotherapy
