Hailing from Venezuela, Ms. Yohana Shum is a detail-oriented physician assistant. She is currently working with The Dermatology Specialists and practices at multiple locations in NY. She is fluent in English, Chinese, as well as Venezuelan. Ms. Shum earned her master's degree in physician assistant studies from the City University of New York. She received the Scientific Research and Writing Award for her thesis in the Implementation of Primary HPV Testing as the Screening Method for Cervical Dysplasia. She believes in the power of small cosmetic procedures to enhance patients' confidence and self-esteem. Ms. Shum is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She takes an avid interest in weight training, exercising, and traveling. Living in Queens, NY, she loves spending her time with her family and is a certified SSI scuba diver.
