Yenny James is a doula, perinatal health advocate, and reproductive justice activist who has dedicated over 10 years of her career to supporting marginalized families in communities across the country. Her experience in the perinatal health space and obstacles that she faced as a mother, Navy veteran, and Dominican immigrant, led her to found Paradigm Doulas. As the founder and CEO of Paradigm Doulas, Yenny’s mission is to create a paradigm shift by dismantling interpersonal and systemic racism that have created barriers to reproductive justice and liberation. In collaboration with community members and leaders, Yenny aims to educate and implement solution-based frameworks that expand health equity across underserved and underrepresented communities.
