Starting out as an IT advisor, and transitioning to locum pharmacy, I am passionate about technology and healthcare and where they intersect. I worked to procure, set up and manage IT systems for The Onyx Link Foundation, an NGO working towards improved community and interfaith relations in South Wales. I worked to champion equality, diversity and inclusion in my learning and working spaces, as a student member of Cardiff University School of Pharmacy's EDI team. I sought to have people of darker skin tones better represented in the dermatology curriculum and transgender people included when discussing gendered healthcare subjects, as well as encouraging the use of gender neutral language more widely. I was elected twice to the Student Staff Panel within the School of Pharmacy, helping to give students a voice, and advocating for them, especially in light of the significant challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic. It is for this amongst other activities that I was awarded the Christine Davis Prize for contributions to student life upon graduating in 2022. I enjoy Astrophotography and Electronically Assisted Astronomy in my downtime, as well as 3D digital art and animation, and reading.
