Dr. Yashaswini is a consultant radiation oncologist at Mediclinic Hospital, Airport Road, Abu Dhabi. She has over 15 years of experience in radiation oncology. Prior to joining Mediclinic, she has been working in the UAE for eight years at Gulf International Cancer Center. Prior to that she worked at HCG Cancer Center and BGS Global Hospital, Bangalore. She graduated in 2007 in Bachelor of Medicine and surgery (MBBS) from the prestigious MS Ramaiah Medical College, Rajiv Gandhi university of health sciences, India. She undertook her post graduate residency in radiation Oncology at Vydehi Institute of medical Sciences & research center and obtained Indian Board certification in Radiation Oncology (MD). During her Radiation Oncology residency, her thesis was on Image guided adaptive Brachytherapy for Gynecologic cancers. She is an active life member of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI). She has numerous research publications in peer reviewed oncology journals, presented abstracts and has been speaker in multiple international Oncology Meetings. she has special interest in managing Breast, Gynaecologic, head and neck, Lung, Gastrointestinal, genitourinary cancers, Lymphoma, pediatric malignancies, Brain tumors and the use of SBRT/SRS for treating primary and metastatic disease. She is a committed and compassionate oncologist with keen interests in the management of female malignancies. Throughout her career, Dr. Yashaswini has been using different and advanced radiotherapy techniques to treat complex cases of cancer. Her technical expertise is remarkable, encompassing a wide range of state-of-the-art treatments and technologies in modern precision radiation therapy using Cyber knife, Gamma knife, True beam Stx based SRS, SBRT, Image guided radiotherapy on Accuray Tomotherapy and PET-CT /MRI based Radiotherapy planning. She enjoys working in multidisciplinary oncology teams for integrated and comprehensive care of cancer patients and participating in tumor boards and CMEs related to management of cancer patients.
