Doctorally prepared, dual certified Acute Care and Family Nurse Practitioner with a demonstrated history of working in the acute care hospital and the outpatient health care setting. Advanced practice clinical experiences include over 15 years in hospital medicine, many years providing primary care across the lifespan at a FQHC as well as specialty training in both inpatient and outpatient adult gastroenterology. Leadership experiences include serving as a clinical site director at a FQHC’s New Access Point (NAP), mentor, and preceptor for nurse practitioner students and new advanced practice providers. Dr. Sizer’s current focus is on health care disparities. She successfully deployed “BarberED Then Screened” and now, through vast partnerships, “BarberED, BeautiED, Then Screened.” Both initiatives seek to increase colorectal cancer screening in a population with poor outcomes from colorectal cancer.
