I have been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner since 1997, and when Saskatchewan finally licensed NP's, I was licensed in 2006. Since then I have had the most rewarding career firstly by serving the First Nation's communities of northern Saskatchewan and Alberta for 11 years, then switching focus to geriatrics in 2008. Working in the geriatric population opened my eyes to an area where there is much need, and not enough resource. I decided if I cannot find the resource, then I should become the resource. I obtained a Master of Science - Adult/Gerontological NP designation in 2015. I integrate my knowledge and expertise in adult gerontological medicine into all practice areas. I currently provide NP services and am the Nurse Manager in a remote fly-in northern community Wollaston Lake. In my other world, I have dedicated a significant portion of my life to bleeding disorder care. I am currently the President of the Canadian Hemophilia Society, and find a relentless passion to pursue the best care and services to those who bleed. I am privileged to be a part of this incredible organization.
