January 2001 to Date Independent Paediatric Occupational Therapist * Assessment and report / recommendations: children with learning disabilities * Ongoing 1:1 treatment and tailored home programmes/advice * Treatment including: improving functional motor control, fine motor skills, sensory - perceptual training, handwriting skills, play, cognition, independence of self-care and organisation of behaviour * Provision of basic sensory integration and ‘sensory diets’ for children with high sensory needs * Implementation of behavioural programmes in schools including programme to address anger management * Consultation to a Post 19 facility for adults with Autism * Ongoing equipment advice, including consultation and equipment trials with specialist equipment providers * Joint ‘Continuing Professional Development’ sessions with fellow Paediatric OT’s to maintain knowledge and ‘fitness to practise’ as outlined by the standards set by the HCPC March 2004 to Date Independent Senior Housing Occupational Therapist * Assessment and report / recommendations for individuals requesting assistance with housing adaptations * Use of specialised Idapt Planning online drawing tool * Liaison with architects * Liaison with contractors * Specific consultation and equipment trials with specialist equipment providers * Joint ‘Continuing Professional Development’ sessions with fellow Housing OT to maintain knowledge and ‘fitness to practise’ as outlined by the standards set by the HCPC
