Being open to the therapeutic process and understanding that things may get worse before they get better when implementing meaningful change, is a risk. That is part of the journey. I have been in the counseling field for over 15 years, after serving in the military. I worked as a school counselor and college counselor. I have worked with children and families but mostly on active duty and veterans. I specialize in co-occurring disorders, trained in EMDR and Prolonged exposure evidence-based treatment for PTSD. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, School Counselor certified in Texas, and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington state. I speak Spanish.show moreWhat should a new client know about working with you?The first session is an intake, going over your history, establishing a rapport and identifying treatment goals.
