Dr. Virgilio C. Castillo was born in the Philippines and grew up in the Northside of Chicago. He is a 1989 graduate of Lane Tech High School and received his Bachelorate of Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1995. Dr. Castillo received his Bachelorate in Human Biology (1997) and his Doctorate of Chiropractic at the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL in 1998. Dr. Castillo completed his post-graduate studies in sports medicine at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO in 2007. Dr. Castillo is a board certified chiropractor through The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® through the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians™. He is also a certified acupuncturist. He has continued his post-graduate studies to become a certified KinesioTex Tape-Practitioner, a certified Graston Technique provider, and a certified FirstLine Therapy® Healthcare provider through Metagenics, Inc. Dr. Castillo continues to learn and tries to keep current on the latest wholistic treatment and rehabilitative methods to better service his patients. Dr. Castillo has serviced the northside community for the past 10 years. He has participated in various community health fairs and continues to educate the public on chiropractic and wholistic healthcare. Dr. Castillo has treated a variety of professional and non-professional athletes from: AVP® (Association of Volleyball Professionals) the Chicago Force (the only professional women's football team in Chicago) ATP® (Association of Tennis Professionals) Judo and semi-pro football athletes. Away from the clinic, Dr. Castillo enjoys being with his family, traveling, and spending time outdoors. He is an avid tennis player, you may find him teaching tennis part-time for the Chicago Park District, or playing a tennis league or tournament. He also enjoys playing golf, participating in triathlons and short distance fun runs.
