Mr Vinod Nargund is a Consultant Urological Surgeon specialised in Urological cancer, male sexual and fertility problems. He was trained in Urology at the City Hospital Belfast, the Royal Infirmary Bradford and the Churchill and John Radcliffe Hospitals in Oxford. In 1997, he was appointed as Consultant Urological Surgeon to St Bartholomew’s and Homerton Hospitals and was lead Urological cancer surgeon and chairman of multidisciplinary Uro-Oncological team between 2001 and 2010. After completing his PhD on bladder cancer research, he was appointed as a Lecturer in Surgery/Honorary Senior Registrar Urology at the Oxford Radcliffe NHS Trust and University of Oxford. Also during 1997, he spent his sabbatical at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York, undertaking advanced training in GU Cancer management. He was trained in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery at the Erasme University Hospital, Brussels and the Oscar Lambret Cancer Centre at Lille, France. He is also actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching. He has been undergraduate and postgraduate examiner for the University of London and served as member of court of examiners at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He takes part regularly in training general practitioners in the specialty of urology for the City and Hackney Primary Care Trust (PCT) and the East London Integrated Care (ELIC). He has published extensively on urological cancers and presented scientific papers in national and international meetings.
