After a year of private practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology in India she made her home in Chicago. She completed her post-graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL and received her permanent board certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1984. Vijaya has been in private practice in Chicago since 1979. She was elected as a fellow of the American College of Gynecology and Obstetricians (ACOG) and the Chicago Gynecological Society. Dr. Arekapudi is focused on providing individualized care to her patients that focuses on continuity of care. In addition to offering all services of an obstetrician/gynecologist she is also able to offer in-office minimally invasive procedures to help women with heavy bleeding.
