Uzo is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner licensed to care for the needs of clients across the lifespan. She has been in healthcare for almost two decades. She comes from a family of many medical professionals.Uzo began her career as a registered nurse in family-centered care which increased her awareness of the needs of those inflicted with mental illnesses. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University, a Bachelor's in Business from Houston Christian University, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. Uzo utilizes a holistic and evidence-based approach in treating the mental health needs of her clients. She provides compassionate, and culturally sensitive care.She works with her clients to develop a treatment plan which includes medications (with supportive therapy), CBT strategies, and psychoeducation.
