Dr Uthish Sreedaran is a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist and Clinical Director/Deputy Medical Director at Psychiatry-UK. He completed his specialist psychiatry training in the well-respected Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery after obtaining his medical degree. He is approved under s12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983 as having special experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. The GMC have endorsed him in Rehabilitation Psychiatry as part of his CCT. Dr Sreedaran holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education from the University of Edinburgh and Postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Dr Sreedaran has worked in adult inpatient and outpatient settings, learning disability psychiatry, CAMHS and forensic settings and has experience and expertise in the diagnosis and management of Adult ADHD, Adult Autism, Psychotic disorders and Mood Disorders. He works collaboratively with patients and utilises trauma informed care. He has expertise in helping patients review their diagnoses and treatment plans and offers second opinion assessments where outcomes have not met patients’ and carers’ expectations. Dr Sreedaran has a keen interest developing the next generation of doctors to promote awareness of mental health across all medical specialities and was the winner of the prestigious DME award for outstanding commitment to Health and Wellbeing for Sussex Partnership Foundation NHS trust in July 2022. He was part of the Medical Education Team as the Wellbeing Lead for Doctors in Training and is a Clinical Lecturer and Examiner at Brighton and Sussex Medical University.
