Timbolin has been a nurse for over 28 years in various capacities and has worked as a nurse practitioner for over eleven years. During this time, she has amassed a wealth of different skills and experiences that have afforded the ability to supply a rich insight and perspective on topics and issues affecting patient care today. Timbolin has multiple nursing certifications and attends continuing education courses to keep current with the most up-to-date evidenced-based practice protocols. She has contributed to the future nursing workforce as a nursing instructor/adjunct faculty member/professor for associate-degree candidates, baccalaureate-degree candidates and masters-degree candidates as well as providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the clinical setting as a nurse practitioner. Timbolin obtained her Master of Science in Nursing degree in Acute Care with Emergency Medicine Concentration from Loyola University Chicago’s Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing in 2011; Associates in Applied Science, Nursing degree from Joliet Junior College in 1993; and Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago in 1986. In her spare time, Timbolin volunteers whenever possible and has been a team member of the Illinois Medical Emergency Response Team/Illinois Nurse Volunteer Emergency Needs Team for many years. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority, and Mu Zeta Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. serving as the recording secretary. Timbolin is married for over 31 years to her college sweetheart and they have two adult daughters. She has lived in Bolingbrook, Illinois since 1989, but grew up in Plainfield, NJ and Chicago’s Hyde Park. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, dancing, cooking, going to the movies, museums, theatre, concerts, ballet, fine cuisine, golfing, bowling, playing Scrabble, painting, and traveling when time permits.
