Dr. Burugu completed her Medical Degree and internship from University Of Health Science Centre. Her internal medicine residency was completed at Oakwood Hospital affiliated to Wayne State University, Detroit , Michigan She also attended Master of Public Health(MPH) at the University Health Science Centre, San Antonio after the internship. She is board certified in Internal medicine by the American Board of internal medicine. As soon as she finished residency she worked as an Out-patient Clinician at Darnall Army Medical Center Forthood, Tx . She was considered one of the best Clinician at Darnall Army Medical Centre. Dr. Burugu worked with retired military personnel and that experience polished her skills as an Internist. She also worked as an In-patient Physician at St. Davids Hospital in the challenging environment. Her interests include treating patients with Chronic medical conditions such as Diabetes, Hypertension and Hyperlipidemia. She enjoys spending with her kids in her free time.
