I am the Medical Director of Child Psychiatry UK. Having qualified as a medical doctor from Newcastle Medical School in 1993, I then undertook further medical and psychiatric training, becoming a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2000. I have over 20 years' experience working in the NHS and the independent sector. Child Psychiatry UK, is an independent practice based in the north of England, offering a wide range of therapies for children and young people experiencing mental health issues. I use evidence-based, high quality interventions and have a special interest in managing emotional and behavioural disorders, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I have a team of experienced mental health professionals who work with me to provide therapy. I was awarded a Post-graduate Diploma in CBT from Durham University in 2009.
