The role of the primary care provider is to provide for all of the basic healthcare needs of the patient while coordinating the care of other providers in any situations where the required care goes beyond the basic needs of the patient and knowledge of the provider. The provider needs to have a handle on all of the issues that the patient is being treated for making sure that the treatment plans, including hospitalizations, line up to provide the patient an optimal plan of care. I am a father of five which keeps me pretty busy doing a lot of things I love like going to the beach, watching movies, and reading. I also play guitar.
