I have had 10 plus years experience in customer service based roles, which has given me the skills and confidence to be able to work with the general public in a polite and professional manner, whilst at the same time building a rapport with them. Pharmacy can become a stressful environment at times for the employers and for the customers. It has taught me to be calm, to think and work quickly and efficiently, to adapt to any different kind of situation, and to give reassurance to customers who have any queries or worries about medication, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. I am empathetic, honest, caring, a good listener, have patience, and will work hard to deliver the best possible outcome to any given situation. During my years of working in the industry I have been able to complete a healthcare assistant programme, a dispensing assistant programme and an advance level apprenticeship in pharmacy services which I have documented in my employment experience. As I have gained these qualifications, I have also learnt how to use different systems to work with regarding prescriptions, from Nexphase to Smartscript to the most recent one being SystemOne, so I am adaptable to learning new systems and using them quickly and effectively. I am a hard working individual, who can work well on my own or as a team to achieve the best possible outcomes for us and for our customers. I strive to want the customers to have the confidence in us that we can deliver the best care to them. I would love to be able to take my qualifications further and enhance my career in Pharmacy. I have done my qualifications to be a Pharmacy Technician, however it was not under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. I do believe though that I have the skills, knowledge and experience to take on a role of a Pharmacy Technician, and to help enhance any new employment I can be in.
