Currently a senior occupational therapist working within the acute frailty and geriatric sector. Working full time in the acute sector has increased my resilience and passion for understanding what matters to the person, aiming a safe and timely discharge plan built around what the patient wants. I have worked within the NHS since 2010, firstly joining through an apprenticeship working as a HCA to gain my level 3 certificate in health and social care. Leading on to completing my OT degree following 3 years of education, finally qualifying in 2015. Outside of work I am currently planning my wedding and have recently moved in to our new home together! Very exciting times and I am beginning to realise the importance of work/life balance- trying to make the most of everyday. I also enjoy live music and have sang in bands before, I spend most weekends with friends and my partner where we enjoy a day/night together making lovely memories.
