I have been in post as a consultant Neurosurgeon in Oxford since November 2004.I qualified from London University and undertook my surgical and neurosurgical training in Bristol and Oxford. I was awarded the Lang Research Fellowship by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and undertook my research investigating outcomes in patients with head injury and sub-arachnoid haemorrhage at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol. I have completed my term as Spinal Lead for Neurosurgery in Oxford. I am neurousergery representative for the Thames Valley Spinal Network. I am a member of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons, British Association of Spinal Surgeons and the British Neuro-oncology Society. I am currently President of the Neuromodulation Society of UK and Ireland. I am on the board of editors of the Journal of Neuromodulation and Co-chair of the International Neuromodulation Committee for Conflict of Interest. My sub-specialty areas include spine, spinal surgery, spinal tumours, spinal dysraphism, neuromodulation, trigeminal neuralgia and craniofacial trauma. I enjoy spending time with family/friends, watching rugby (having previously played) and gardening.
