Dr Srinivas (Sri) Gada has practised in the NHS in the UK, for nearly 25 years (Since 1995). He has been practising as a Consultant Paediatrician in Child Neurodevelopmental Disorders for 14 years.Dr Sri specialises in the assessment and management of children with Autism/ASD, ADHD, Dyspraxia, Developmental Delay, Learning Disability, Emotional & Behavioural Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, children with school/educational difficulties and syndromic disorders such as Down Syndrome.Dr Sri graduated in India in 1992, coming First in the 2nd Year and Final Year of Medicine, at his University. While working at Leicester Royal Infirmary, he gained DCH and MRCP qualifications (1996-99). Sri then worked at Queens Hospital in Essex and The Royal London Hospital, training to be an Intensivist (1999-2000). During this specialist training, his daughter was diagnosed with a disability.This personal experience stimulated his interest in pursuing Child Neurodisability as a career. Subsequently, he went on to receive training in Child Neuro-Developmental Disorders at The Royal Free Hospital in London (2001-05). He undertook Diploma Studies in Paediatric Neurodisability from Sheffield (2004-05).Dr Sri then worked as Consultant Community Paediatrician with an interest in Neurodisability at Oxford UniversityHospitals NHS FT, for over 13 years (2005-2019). He continues to act as a Hon Senior Clinical Lecturer in Paediatrics at the University of Oxford, since 2007. Sri has served in NHS in various roles such as Consultant Appraiser, Clinical GovernanceLead, Educational Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor, and RCPCH AAC Rep.Dr Sri takes an active interest in teaching and training of undergraduates and postgraduates. He has been a Course Director for Child Development Courses in Oxford, London and Abroad. Sri is the Editor of Oxford Specialist Handbook in Community Paediatrics, published by Oxford University Press. This handbook, with emphasis on Child Neurodevelopment and Neurodisability, is widely used by doctors in the UK, Europe and is sold worldwide.His consultation only fees are £300 for new patients and £250 for follow-up. Please ask his secretary regarding the costs of carrying out detailed neurodevelopmental assessments for ASD, ADHD etc. The assessment costs vary from £900-£1300, depending on the complexity of the case, the presence of co-morbidities, location of practice, overheads, etc. Neurodevelopmental assessments are in-depth and comprehensive exercises that involve 4-6 hours of work for each child. This includes at up to 2 hours of face-to-face assessment, head-to-toe examination, full physical examination including neurology, growth assessment, report writing, post, and admin.
