Graduating as a First-Class Honours student is something I wasn’t expecting. Combining that with achieving 78% in my final year research project, and winning a regional award, I’m flabbergasted. Having graduated, I will be starting my Foundation Year training programme within a GP surgery/community pharmacy split placement. My long term aim is to find a career that can utilise my clinical knowledge and my creativity to help inspire other healthcare professionals and reshape the profession towards full role utilisation and integration in every sector! I have over 18 months of pharmacy dispensing experience with Boots and I’m looking for an environment with lots of opportunities to use my excellent patient communication skills that I developed here. I also learned the importance of deadline prioritisation and respectful inter professional communication. Additionally, from my work experience within Consultations4Health (an online communication skills resource), I’ve broadened my horizons into digital communication skills. During the role I was responsible for spearheading exciting ideas from concept to publishing, as well as championing the external (and global!) communication pathways that are now being explored! The resource has seen a 50% growth since my participation and I’m excited for the future of online education.
